Uruguay launches it’s new citrus varieties. After more than 30 years of research and development, Uruguay has launched its new mandarin, orange, and lemon varieties

The varieties have been tested from the agronomic and consumer point of view, selecting a range that covers a wide marketing window, carefully attending to current consumption requirements

“This is the fruit of intense work, of a great team, with a systemic, interdisciplinary approach, which involves the joint work of several institutions, and the producers' commitment; we are really happy with the result obtained,” stated Fernando Rivas, the director of the Citriculture Program at INIA.
